Hunting is necessary for the survival of a Ranger. Hunting is how we obtain our food and our gold. Killing foul beasts makes us strong and productive members of the realm. Taking your student hunting and watching them kill is a great way to help give them advise. Just remember to have them lead you and not the other way around.

Hunting Tips

1) Carry both a glowing long bow and Dark Web Bow as soon as you can afford both. The Glowing Long Bow is necessary to kill magical creatures like mouthers.

2) Make a Macro to Unpack Dark Web Bow, a Macro to Pack Right and a Macro to Unpack Glowing Long Bow. This will save time when having to change weapons in battle. Also have a macro for activate ring of recall for a quick escape.

3) Use aim instead of attack. You will do more damage by typing in this command. It is a good command to use as a macro.

4) When fighting, kill the monsters that can stun you first. Mouthers, Mad monks, Slimes, Spawns and Snotlers can stun you or make you fall asleep. If you know you are going to encounter one of these, make a macro to kill it first.

5) When using your Dark Web Bow, try to web all the creatures in the room first and then kill them. You can attack different monsters by aim 1, aim 2, aim 3, aim 4 etc. By webbing everything in the room first, you will reduce your chances of being hit and dying.

6) If you are using Wizard, use the 10-key pad at the right of the keyboard. You will be able to move much faster than if you were to type out the directions.

7) If you encounter a room you know you can't handle type re . This will retreat you out of the room. You will still have the unbalance time, but not until you are out of the room with the monsters.

8) Use the "Concentrate" command to decrease the scroll cause by combat. By decreasing the scroll, you reduce your own lag you will be able to fight faster.

9) Pick up crossbows, swords, and gems and sell them at nearby shops. This is the quickest method to make good gold.

Hunting Rules

1) Never scroll up monsters with macros. It is acceptable to move from room to room as long as you don't bring up more monsters than you can kill and as long as you stop when others approach the room.

2) Never claim to "own" a room. Terris is for everyone. No one owns a hunting spot.

3) Learn the way to where you hunt. If you can't walk to the Frosted Meadows then you shouldn't be hunting there.

4) Don't come in and engage a monster someone else is fighting unlessthey request your assistance. Though please check to see if the person is injured and heal them if they need it.

5) Never take gold or items from a room with people in it, unless they tell you it is okay. Theft is not tolerated.

6) When fighting in a group, never leave the group immediately after you get your "kill". A group fights together. There is nothing more rude than using a group for an item or kill and then immediately leaving.
